GENERAL COMMENTS

"I took this car on a test drive and I fell in love with it. It is very smooth, and has all the bells and whistles you would expect. It is a Toyota so it should last for a long time!!!"
Georgetown , Kentucky - April, 2006

"At less than 600 miles the following lights came on: check engine light, VSC light, & Trac off light. Took to dealer. The dealer said the gas cap was not tight enough so the check engine light came on and when the VSC & Trac systems detect the check engine light is on, the VSC & Trac lights come on also. This is ridiculous as there was no indication the gas cap was 'loose'. Nothing was wrong with the Vehicle Stability Control(VSC) and Traction Control(TRAC). Dealer said the $76.50 diagnosis charge would be billed to Toyota this one time and the next time I would be charged. This must be fractured Toyota logic, the dealer was feeding me a bunch of BS, and/or there are problems with the VSC & Trac systems the dealer and Toyota are hiding."
Fountain Valley , California - February, 2007

"MY last car was a '95 minivan, so that is my standard. The HL's braking is superior, it mileage is about: 14mpg city (NYC),and about 21 mph HW. It handles well. Parallel parking, however, it is harder to see low (most) cars that are right behind me...only drove about 5K miles so far. Roomy for to fit 6'2' people. "
Romel G. (Long Island City , New York - October, 2005)

"I own a 2006 highlander hybrid. When I bought the car I was told owners were reporting 40 mpg. My gas milage averages 19-22mpg. The only time my car switches to battery power is when I am stopped or coasting. On level ground I cannot accelerate to any speed, back off the gas....and maintain speed. The service dept. says nothing is wrong with my car. I have requested the regional representative inspect my car. "
Bow , Washington - December, 2007
