Free Trade: Top Imports at the 2008 SEMA Show

It wasn't too long ago that, at the SEMA Show, "import" was a euphemism for "Honda." Those days are long gone, and while there are still plenty of Honda and Acura cars on the show floor, they've been replaced by a wide variety of other vehicles from different tuners who don't know a K20 engine from a K2 ski.

The 2009 Nissan GT-R gets no end of love from the automotive press, but even we weren't ready for the phalanx of them at the SEMA show. Our favorite is this one from HRE wheels, boasting not just the company's rims but an awesome matte gray over black paint job. Hyundai isn't generally associated with the aftermarket, but that's changing with the 2009 Hyundai Genesis, specifically this example tuned by DUB Magazine. Flying the German flag is a Volkswagen CC Eco Performance Concept, with the ability to save the planet and flatten your eyeballs at the same time. 3T Motorsport gives us a Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano...and yes, they really did improve on it. Last but far from least is the HRE Wheels Aston Martin DBS; sure it's not highly tuned, but just try not to stare at it.
