There’s an emerging thought in the world of premium and luxury vehicles – an upscale car is a quiet car. Therefore, the 2006 Buick Lucerne is the product of a dedicated focus on limiting intrusive noise, canceling sound, and deadening anything that whispers through the cracks. Buick engineers employed what they called QuietTuning, an approach that encompassed everything from redesigning mirror housings to limit wind noise to filling hollow body panels with sound-deadening insulation. The engineers’ goal was to make the Lucerne one of the quietest sedans on the market, and after a quick test drive, we’d say they succeeded.
