Our test X5 came with the $700 Rear Climate Package, which adds dual-zone, automatic climate control. Each zone has individual temperature knobs and a switch for air-conditioning or heat, and a switch for the heated seats, a $350 option. A single fan speed switch controls both zones. Each zone has two vents, one on the end of the center console and one in each door pillar. The third-row seats also have a pair of vents with a single-speed fan.
