2007 Kia Rondo First Drive
| Advice: Competitors |
| |
The most obvious competitor for the Rondo is the Mazda5. They both offer similar room, style and performance as well as three rows of seats for competitive prices. The Mazda5 has an advantage in sportiness, while the Rondo has a better price point and is a little bigger. The Mazda also has sliding rear doors, which is either a good or bad thing depending on your opinion of minivans. Compact SUVs such as the RAV4 or Honda CR-V compete in a different class thanks to their all-wheel drive and higher prices. Instead, we think the Rondo goes up against wagons such as the Chevrolet HHR, Chrysler PT Cruiser, Toyota Matrix and the Dodge Caliber.
