Upon entry into the 2007 Mercedes-Benz CL 500 you’ll notice the ash or walnut wood dash and interior trim, the alloy sills, and the fine leather upholstery. That’s in addition to such standard features as four-zone climate control, the central COMAND control system, steering wheel-mounted controls, front- and rear-side airbags, and side-curtain airbags. Not necessarily clearly visible, yet standard nonetheless, is a high-intensity discharge headlight system that varies the beams’ width and brightness according to road conditions; a memory function for the seats, mirrors, and steering wheel; a parking aid system; Pre-Safe technology that supplements a driver’s braking effort in the event of an impending accident; and adaptive brake lights. In addition to its more powerful engine, the CL 600 adds poplar wood interior trim, upgraded leather with an Alcantara headliner, and specific chrome exterior details. Also featured on the CL 600 is a navigation system, dynamic multi-contour seats with massage, ventilated front buckets, and a premium surround sound system.
