2007 Nissan Sentra Review
| Handling |
| |
Handling is not the 2007 Nissan Sentra's strong point. The ride is biased more toward comfort than sport with a cushy feel in the corners, tires that squeal easily, and noticeable front end dive and rear end squat when braking or accelerating. Steering is responsive, though the rack-and-pinion system feels overboosted at times and lacks sufficient road feel. Brakes are effective; unfortunately, the pedal is grabby and makes a chore of modulating the pads. The highlight here is the Buick-like comfortable ride, due likely in equal parts to the pliant suspension and soft bucket seats. However, traveling over bumps at slower speeds can elicit a hard reaction from the suspension and echoes throughout the cabin.
